"This week, give the gift of flowers to those you love the most. Buy a bouquet valued at over $69 and your loved one will receive a a box of 4 red velvet cupcakes with their flowers. They look and taste divine! Order online."
"Finally.... A bouquet of flowers from Wild Poppies Florist, Great North Road. The girls there will talk you through it and help you come up with something befitting your special night. If you don't get some after that then you must be in a coma!"
" Right from the get go, my Wild Poppy experience was a positive one. The website is beautiful, modern and easy to work. They sent an order confirmation which they followed with an update email of when my rose would be delivered. The rose was delivered within the time stated, was packaged beautifully and the rose was a great quality rose! Wild Poppies offered the cheapest single rose price by at least $20. Highly recommended"

"This market really is going from strength to strength. Great selection and atmosphere. The only down side is that the pipers had been relegated to the outskirts for being too noisy. If you wake early on a Sunday morning and need to keep your rug rats entertained, then set your compass bearing south to Clevedon. Fresh produce, coffee and horse rides (or tractor rides if you are a little less equine inclined). Don't forget to chat to the producers at their stalls, that's what the experience is all about. I had some smoked salmon from the market this evening. Just beautiful."

" Wow I can't wait to give this ago . What a deal on Groupon today $75 to give it a go, so I have treated myself to a long over due adrenalin rush. Can't wait to take the controls and do some aerobatics. Only thing I wish is I hope they will let me do "wing walking" it's at the top of my bucket list in must do experiences. Watch this space to find out how it goes."
" For his 50th birthday, my Dad requested adrenaline. He had done a skydive so I bought him an X Flight. I purchased the most expensive package with the theory more money = more thrills. I was not mistaken. If the safety talk isn’t terrifying enough, the plane is ridiculously fast and the G forces are intense. The pilot claimed that it would make the skydive look like a cup of tea and a lie down and, according to Dad, he was not far wrong. You will go through rolls, both horizontal and vertical, flying upside down and dives – but don’t worry, they supply you with a sick bag. They also film the whole lot so that you can purchase it afterwards and check out all the funny faces that you make. Dad came down very quiet and for the record made it all the way home before he vomited. He is so glad he did it and the thrill was well worth it. However, he has requested something quiet for his 60th. "

"A sustainable and ethical jewellery businesses, Stone Arrow Jewellery also manages to make beautiful necklaces, earrings and bracelets! Favourites include earrings made from recycled gin bottles."
"We were driving back to Picton and spotted the sign at the Eco-Show in Nelson. It wasn’t my choice to pop into Stone Arrow but my significant other insisted. I’m actually glad we did because the handmade jewellery was awesome and Nick was super friendly. And in the end I actually didn’t mind pulling out my credit card for a pair of "recycled" earrings made out of glass either plus it made the gf happy!"

" I was lucky enough to have been given a bottle of the Villa Northeim Rose wine and it was absolutely delicious! I've tried a fair few in my time and this is absolutely the nicest one I've ever come across. A friend and I shared it for her birthday and she also could not get over how lovely it was. Can't wait to purchase some more."

"I have fished all over the world from Europe to the US for the last 30 years and can honestly say that Fishy Steve is one of the most competent and friendly Guides I have ever met. I have know fished the Taupo and surrounding region for the last four years and have used Steve's services on 7 occasions now. Steve always delivers, even in very tough conditions he manages to make a great day of it. I have tried Heli and Raft fishing with Steve and they were 2 of the most exciting and fulfilling days fishing I have ever had. Both my Brother and Father have now also used Fishy Steve's guiding services, with similar experiences. As well as finding fish Steves intimate and in-depth knowledge of fishing styles and techniques has improved my abilities considerably. I would have no attention of recommending Steve's Guiding services to anyone - Hi is my only choice in New Zealand ! Dave Allen, Melbourne, Australia P.S. His wife makes great lunches too ! "
" Had a great day out on the rivers around Taupo with Steve. Went to a couple of the smaller streams that I've always had trouble fishing in the past, and Steve was able to unlock their secrets for me. I caught good, hard fighting fish .... lost a few as well! Also learned how to "roll cast" which stood me in good stead later in the week on the Tongariro as I was able to fish some difficult to get to spots that others had walked past. Thoroughly recommend a day being guided by Steve, you'll learn lots of tricks even if you're already an experienced fly fisher. Chris."

" I went to this flight simulation not really knowing what to expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. My family and I went into this little room where a very friendly man showed us the little half box thing that I would be sitting in and pretending to fly a plane. It was very fun and the man was very kind and patient when telling me how everything worked as I was pretty terrible for most of the simulation. I did think that the graphics weren't as realistic as I had expected as it did look slightly like a game animation slightly , and the place it is held is quite far away however it was still very fun to do. Also at the end the staff member let me have a photo with the captain hat and jacket which you can see to the side. It was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it!!!"

"This pulled beef sandwich was amazing. I haven't had anything this good anywhere in New Zealand. It's definitely worth the trek."
" I have been here previously for coffees, but went here for the first time for dinner the other night. I had checked out the menu online and was having a hard time deciding between the duck and pork belly before arriving. However, after the bread (which was pretty good) I realised that the menu sitting in front of me was quite different to that online. I went from choosing between two of my favourites - to deciding which of the food on the menu was something I may enjoy. To be truthful, if the menu in front of me was the one online - I may not have visited. Moving on though, I ordered lamb shanks, with lentils, peas, and warm beetroot and my partner ordered crumbed fish, with potatoes and a tomato type sauce. Although the food was cooked well, neither of us enjoyed it too much and it seemed a strange mix of flavours on the plate. The desert menu had the same strange mix of flavours going on. We went with crème brulee, oat biscuits and a crème fraiche thing, and I got a rhubarb crumble that came with the same crème fraiche and (the proper word has escaped me) fancy custard. The custard came in a shot glass though, which was strange. I didn’t want to drown my crumble in it, so I had put my teaspoon in it and scoop it out. Despite the food mishaps, the service was really good and I may go back if their menu changes."
