"The Raw Essentials team are a fantastic asset to pet owners. My cat has a troubled stomach and it has been distressing watching him be so uncomfortable trying to deal with other pet foods. He does extremely well on the natural ground meat and bone mixes from Raw Essentials and the Power Mix is a miracle. They also have probiotics and fish oils for animals which also work wonders. "

" We've been here for a whole raft of things for our cat, from standard vaccinations and checkups, to a major operation and overnight care (including a transfer to the after hours clinic at Unitec). All the vets here were wonderful and very informative during the whole ordeal, and our cat made a full recovery. Would definitely recommend them as vets. Tip: don't ignore their suggestion to get pet insurance if you don't already have it - really wish we had it BEFORE the operation... you never know what dumb thing your pet could do/eat to warrant a costly procedure, and when it comes down to it most people wouldn't have the heart to just give up on them. Definitely a worthwhile investment."

"We took our cat in with what we thought was a minor complaint and found out she was very ill and that euthanasia was pretty much the only humane thing to do. The vet that we saw was professional and caring, understanding and patient, and did her best to make a sad surprise more bearable."
" I was an anxious first time cat owner, but this vet has been excellent. Very informative and reassuring when our fur baby needed attention. The nurse/receptionist is super nice, especially when I have my 3 kids in tow. I trust them completely! They seem well priced. You can buy good cat and dog food there too. And they are just around the corner. Brilliant."

"I've been taking my cat to Western Vets since she adopted us over three years ago. The vet and staff and very helpful, and they even encourage you to ring after hours if you're worried about something. I haven't done this myself, but a good friend did when her puppy was run over (all good now thanks to Western Vets). Bella, our cat, is notorious for being a bit scatty and amazing at doing a disappearing act when I need to get her to the vets. On a couple of occasions when I've made appointments I've had to cancel them because she's 'done' the great escape. No worries, Western staff just said to bring her in when I could sort her and I could just turn up. What a relief! Big thanks to Western Vets, they're great with animals and also seem well priced, which is good in this day and age of economic gloom."
" I’ve been coming to this vet for around a month now…. Fantastic prices, and great to deal with & willing to help! Surgery hours are awesome, open late mon - fri & open during the weekend with no extra weekend charges…."

"They have looked after our furbabies for the last 12yrs, They have always been kind, caring, compassionate & genuinely interested in our pets. They have always been there whenever we have needed them & always do their utmost best for us & our FurBabies. During the last few months of our Old cats life they were only ever a phone-call away & always available to see her no matter what the time & for that we cannot thank them enough. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM to Everyone <3"
" We moved to this clinic when our dog slashed his paw and our regular vet wasn't able to help. Since then they've been great. Even when our collarless cat was hit by a car they opened up after hours to help the passerby who found her. Wholehearted recommendation."
" Point Cevalier Veterinary Clinic was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I took my cat to there this morning to get his teeth cleaned. Neave, the vet, was simply charming and put me at ease about the fact my cat is going to have to go under to have dentistry treatment! It's just so nice to know my pet is going to be in the safe hands of such nice animal lovers. "

"We started coming here because they were only a short walk from our house and we realised we were on to a good thing after we finally found out why our little cat was throwing up her food. Sometimes it pays to be persistent and when the other local vets were unable to diagnose the problem we had a lot of luck here. Now we have one very happy cat on a strict diet of hypoallergenic food and an amazing vet to answer all of our ridiculous and quite possibly over dramatic questions. When you own a pet you know just how important it is to find the right vet and we certainly have found ours."

"These amazingly skillful and caring specialists are open after hours at 97 Carrington Road, beside Unitech in Mt Albert. My poor cat was stranded for 4 days on a traffic island, under a bush, after being badly injured on the motorway. These people brought her back from the brink, gave her the best surgery available and against all odds, saved her furry little life. Amazing."

"My Beagles and I migrated here in early 2011 from the U.S. Not long after they were out of quarantine, we went to Vetcare -- at the recommendation of a friend -- to establish a vet relationship. Although we've since moved to the North Shore, we wouldn't think of seeing anyone but the fine staff at Vetcare. They have always counselled us properly and seem to take great pride in the quality of their work. Although we've been to see them a few times, I'm just now getting around to raving about them because of the extraordinary attention and care they put into my Beagles' much-needed dental care. They called me with updates throughout the day. When I arrived to pick up the dogs, they sat me down and walked me through the post-anesthesia and continuing care routines. They even took before and after pictures of the dogs' teeth so I could marvel at the improvement. I trust these guys and recommend them highly if you want veterinary professionals who like what they do and really care about animals."
