With Display Advertising, Localist will place premium display ads (depending upon the option you choose including Text Ads, Tile Ads, Feature Ads and Category Sponsorship and other offerings as may become available on the localist.co.nz)  on certain webpages of Localist's website that are relevant to your business. When people search on terms or view webpages on Localist relevant to your business, an advertisement for your business may appear. People can simply click your ad to be taken to your Localist Marketplace listing. 
Your business development manager will be able to explain how it all works. More information is also available on our website.
 
The terms and conditions in this product schedule apply to you if you sign up to Localist Display Advertising either online or by talking to your Business Development Manager. These terms and conditions are in addition to our terms of business, advertising policy and our other terms and conditions and policies (all of these are available at www.localist.co.nz/p/legal-stuff). These additional terms apply to Display Advertising as well, so if you haven’t already, you should read and consider these carefully. We may want to change these terms and conditions from time to time, so keep an eye out, as we will publish our amended terms and conditions on our website. Continuing to use or receive our products and services will mean that you agree to our changes.
 
What you need to do
If you already have a Localist Marketplace listing and want to sign up for Display Advertising, all you need to do is sign up online or talk to your Business Development Manager. If you don't already have a Localist Marketplace listing, you will need to sign up for one first, but you can add Display Advertising at the same time. You will also need to pay us. We take care of everything else!
 
What we’ll do
We have developed a range of Display Advertising options for premium Display Advertising on localist.co.nz. We can create the advertisements at an additional cost or you can supply your own using the product specifications we supply you. Each time someone searches on terms or views certain webpages on our website, we will also display a selection of Display Advertisements relevant to that webpage. If a user clicks on your Display Advertisement, they'll be taken to your Localist Marketplace listing, or if we approve it, a URL outside of localist.co.nz that you provide.
 
Our Display Advertising have limited availability and are therefore sold on a first-in, first-served, basis. This means that while our sales order for a Display Advertising will have been sent to you in good faith, we have the right to cancel our sales order if someone else accepts their sales order for that same Display Advertisement spot, before you. We will let you know if this happens and will work with you to try to find an alternative advertisement spot on our website that you are happy with.
 
How the Display Advertising campaign works
To ensure a fair system for all Display Advertising customers, advertisements are chosen automatically by our computers. Users may therefore see different Display Advertisements at different times.  We will try to ensure that the advertisements they do see will be relevant to the webpage they are viewing. We can't control which Display Advertisements appear on which pages and at which times, but our computers are set up to act fairly between different advertisers. 
 
We’ll report back to you via the self service dashboard on a monthly basis as to how your Display Advertising campaign is doing.
 
Imagery
You will also need to provide any imagery that you’d like to use, in high resolution format, if you’re not using our stock imagery.  Remember that you must own or have the right to use your images, and that if you are using our stock imagery, you won’t have exclusive rights to the image you choose.  This means that someone else could be using the same image in their advertisement.  Where you want to supply your own images for use in a Display Advertisement, but you don’t already have a design that you can use, we can create one for you. There will be an additional cost for this service. 
 
You’ll be able to review and provide feedback on the professionally designed advertisements, and be entitled to one round of professional edits to the advertisements.
 
Ownership and Intellectual Property
You own all original content produced as part of your Display Advertisement, unless we have used any content licensed from a third party, like stock images, to create the Display Advertisement.  
 
You grant us a perpetual, royalty free, non-exclusive and irrevocable licence or sub-licence to use, copy and modify all content produced as part of your Display Advertisement.  This means that we can use your advertisements on the Localist website, and for other activities (like showing other possible customers an example of the advertisement). 
 
You appoint us as your agent to carry out design services in relation to Display Advertising in accordance with this product schedule and the Terms of Business.
 
Timing
It may take up to 5 working days from receipt of your first cleared payment for your Display Advertising campaign to start, or if you have used our design service, then it may take up to 5 working days after you have approved the ad we have designed for you. After that, it may take up to another 3 working days to change or remove your Display Advertisements.
 
Charges
The charges for Display Advertising will be listed on your sales order. We may change our charges for Display Advertising from time to time, unless we have agreed in our sales order to charge you a fixed price for a defined period of time. Where we have agreed in our sales order to charge you a fixed price for a defined period of time, once that period expires you will be charged at our then-current charges.
 
Payment and minimum term
This is a subscription product with a minimum term, this will vary depending on the type of advertisement you choose. This is explained more fully in our terms of business, but in summary means that you will pay for Display Advertising in monthly instalments, and you have to sign up for a minimum amount of time. After the term is up, your Display Advertising campaign will automatically renew for another minimum term unless you tell us otherwise.
