"Love everything French? Yes! Well I like your style. There is nothing more enjoyable on a Saturday or Sunday morning than to purchase freshly baked aromatic bread, a serving of Paella (which doesn’t always make it all the way home!), a selection a delicious French cheeses from the La Cigale Fromagerie and a number of other fabulous products and produce which make their way into your market bag. Treat yourself to this French Market place!"
"Anything that involves cheese is good. When there is cheese on a date this is super good. These markets are amazing, there’s fresh food from sausages, vegetables, a special market café, bread…. everything that your average food addict loves. For me, as a carb lover, this place is heaven. It’s also nice to come here to pretend you are classy and swanky when really you are hungover from Friday or Saturday night antics and need to get some fresh air. Best not to be hungover for your market date though…. These markets are on Saturday and Sunday mornings so you’ve got enough time during the week to think up an elaborate date plan for after the markets to extend the amazingness of said date."

"For those lazy summer days, you can’t go wrong with a trip out to Hallertau. Huge plates of ribs, massive pots of mussels, and their beer tasting rack is awesome (although the Number 1 is the best). It’s newly renovated too, so it feels like you’re drinking directly under the brewing vats. Check it out!"

"One of my personal favorites! A great list of wine and beers on tap as well as offering a number of tasty meals from the kitchen, including pizza! For me if I’m just catching up with a friend or looking for a night out i always consider wrestling with the Elephant."
" This is a great place to get together with friends on a Saturday night, they have dancing inside and a nice patio for outside and even half of the patio is covered which is so great!!!! and its also no too loud outside so you can still have a conversation with friends and actually hear them! Great Place:)"

"Located in Browns Bay, Deep Creek Bay brew onsite. Their selection is vast - I recommend giving their IPA - pontoon in a monsoon - a try! Open 11am to 11pm, 7 days."

"As well as being one of the best eateries on the shore, it is so much easier getting a table at the Takapuna branch of Mexico. The food is excellent, a modern spin on Mexican cuisine, with so many tasty options on the regularly changing menu it is always hard choosing what to eat. Going with friends means you can sample more and it makes for a fun meal. The tacos are cheap and excellent, they do wonderful things with prawns, fish and squid and the salads are substantial. Today’s lunch was adobo prawns w/ black rice, burnt chipotle butter, grilled lime and the queso fundido w/ broccolini, black olive powder, corn bread. Perfection."

"Can’t wait to go back again! I love this place, the menu is really really interesting and varied and you’re bound to find something you haven’t tried before. The plates are smaller and made for sharing so you can try loads (which is kinda the idea). The wine list is nice and substantial so if you’re coming from the city you’ll need to sweet talk someone into sober driving or if you’re smart organise a group of 8 or more and they will pick you up in a courtesy van and drop you home later on."

"Great Mexican place in mission bay. Had the nachos and mixed platter which was yum! And they had nice drinks as well. They also have massive sombrero hats you can wear :) a great place for a relaxing lunch or fun dinner out."

"What a great cafe, how could I live in Auckland my whole life and not know about this place sooner! Yummy modern food in a lovely old building. Great service too. I want to go back for the Sunday Blues live music soon."

"Ah, the tried and true. Can’t say I have met a person that doesn’t like Renkon and the Parnell store is the perfect one to meet up with those friends who work around the city and don’t have all that long for a lunch break because it is cheap, delicious, quick, filling AND healthy. I am a huge fan of Japanese food so to find somewhere that fits all of the above categories was great, let alone trying to find any food place like that in general in Auckland. My heart lies with the karaage chicken. It is fried chicken with rice and veges and it tastes like upper class KFC, and I like to pretend I am fancy. I don’t think you could go wrong with this place, I will fight you if you think otherwise."
"Renkon is probably my absolute favourite Japanese restaurant, in fact I would eat it a few times of week if I could. You can’t go past teriyaki tofu, it is so freaking good, it’s actually now the only thing I order. The ultimate question; what do they do to get that amazing crunchy coating??"

" 26/2/2013 1 photo First to Review This really has to be one of the best or the best Indian Takeaways I have ever tried in my life !!! Yay a new favourite takeaway for my family. The food is very authentic and has that real homemade taste, not like some other nasty Indian takeaways. Their food is just wonderful, I haven't tried everything yet, but I eventually will. But we have tried the Butter chicken (as you do), Lamb Korma, Paneer Saagwala, Chicken Biryaani, Tikka Masala, Vegetable Jalfrezy and most of the naans, I have to say every single one of these dishes is just as tasty as the next. The only thing they don't do and I wish they did is the Whole Tandoori Chicken. I had a bunch of friends over one night and we ordered about 8 dishes and everyone was raving about it, and there was nothing left, every last morsel had been eaten !! Either they were hungry or the food was just so great. This Indian also does not give me a sore stomach like some others that I have tried. If you are in or near the area do not hesitate to try Curry Sutra - Indian Soul Fuel. Curry Sutra Beach Haven "
"Real genuine flavours - you can tell everything is cooked from scratch. Prices are pretty standard, but portions are a good size. Always in there when we feel like Indian food."

"I saw the lunch and dinner specials in the local paper, so I decided to book in here for my birthday lunch with friends. The service was top and the place was full and very busy with lots of big tables around the place. But orders were taken and drinks brought over quickly! This place has great staff who work together really efficiently as a team! Food was cooked perfectly and delivered in great time. A great birthday lunch! Highly recommend"
" The food was really nicely prepared and delicious. The staff were friendly. Prices reasonable. Overall, the restaurant was good quality and is recommended."
" Ive been here so many times I can't even count! Always delicious food and is very affordable. They have the voucher in north shore times for a three course meal for $35. Entree, any main from the menu and dessert! And it's always amazing. Oh and the manager is so friendly and accommodating!"
