"This is one of my most favourite places in Auckland. I visit here to take photos with friends to outings with family for lunch and hanging around the park. Very beautiful and serene atmosphere. Beautiful fountains and flowers also can be seen in the winter garden. #Blackmores"
Greenlane Road, Epsom, Auckland 1051
"Historically important to Auckland and New Zealand it has as a focus the volcanic peak One Tree Hill .The tree is long gone but the name remains .There are lots of historical buildings and boring stuff but I like the rural and the nature aspect of the park .Sheep , cows , plenty of bull , bees ,chickhens free range and interesting people walking dogs . Plus the wild bird population .So close to downtown Auckland and plenty of places to park the camper [gates close usually around sunset] . BBQ sites make it a great place to hang out on a summer evening . "

"Close to fish market and various restaurant bar and cafe! Great place to hang out in a lazy Sunday afternoon!"
"Great spot to enjoy Auckland City. Silo Park has a fun playground, a neat water feature for kids and the adults to paddle their feet in on a hot summers day. Great view of the Viaduct Waterfront. Silo Park has night markets also. Love getting great food from the food trucks."
"Silo 6 has exhibitions that changes on a weekly basis and is definitely worth a visit whenever possible. The surrounding areas offers a newly developed public space that one can do basically anything. Either chill in the grass, watch the boats cruise by, eat at one of the hip eateries or just go for a stroll with yr camera."
Princess Street, Auckland Central, Auckland
"One of the many events this CBD park puts on is Chinese Lantern Festival, a vibrant, fun and colourful celebration of Chinese culture. A wide range of really yummy Asian (and some Western) food at really good prices too! Albert Park have always been really good about hosting big public events, rather than worrying about their grass getting trampled. This park can take a lot of use, a lot of visitors - concerts, stages, crowds; it’s all good at Albert Park!"
"The park has a gazebo giving tranquil views of lush greenery, buildings and the landmarks that represents Auckland’s history."
250 Mt Eden Road, Mt Eden, Auckland
"Love running up Mt Eden, all worth it with a great view of Auckland at the top. Also nice for a Sunday evening picnic dinner if you can get a space without too many people around."

"Ever fantasised about what you would do if the zombie apocalypse actually happened? Now you can find out... if you dare. 2013. Auckland City. The streets lie devastated in the wake of a deadly virus. Your only hope of survival is joining a skeleton crew of desperate renegades in Aotea Square. Their outpost is all that stands between you and certain death. Apocalypse Z is a theatrical rule-breaker. Be plunged into a world where your fate is intertwined with that of your rescuers. Witness the drama unfold as the fourth wall crumbles around you. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle…or step up and become a hero. Apocalypse Z will deliver a unique and unrelenting experience for a new generation of theatre-goers. " A really well put together arts venue to go see a show. Service was excellent throughout, clean and open spaces and the new cafe areas are great. A really nice place to see live acts."
85-87 Gladstone Road, Parnell, Auckland 1052
" I love going to Parnell Rose Gardens and having a slow stroll ... checking out the roses, beautiful huge old trees and meandering paths. Walking down to Judges Bay and back up gives you a bit of exercise. If you've got the kids they'll love playing on the massive old trees and afterwards you can go on over to the playground across the road. Lovely weekend outing."
"Get outside and smell the roses – its spring! Perhaps one of the most romantic seasons in the year and there is nothing more romantic than roses. Walk hand in hand with your loved one and soak up the sunshine, a stroll through the Parnell Rose Gardens is sure to have you both seeing love hearts and rainbows. Pack a picnic and tell her how much she means to you – this is the perfect Sunday date location."
Mission Bay, Auckland 1071

"One of Auckland's hidden gems, Victoria Park is located in downtown Auckland, and a great place to work out if you're tired of the gym. Rugby, skating, running or cricket - whatever your outdoor fave is, this is a great place to do it. Or, bring the kids to the playground and let them burn some of their energy."
"Great park to go kick a ball around, or go for a run in town. They usually have touch here on a Monday night - Join a social team!"
24 Omana Avenue, Epsom, Auckland
"Visited Eden Garden on a Sunday afternoon and it was a delightful experience meandering along the paths and admiring the exquisite beauty of the flowers surrounding us. There were plenty of birds about to add to the charm of these well cared for gardens and we stopped at the cafe for light snacks and tea sitting under the trees and enjoying the afternoon sun. Well worth a visit."
" I've been here a few times, most recently to their Spring day. It's a tranquil oasis to visit with lots of meandering paths up the side of Mt Eden. Lots of hard work by volunteers has gone into making the garden a beautiful place to visit. They have an on-site cafe and gift shop, both worth a visit."
Newton to Henderson, Auckland Central, Auckland
" If you have an interest in cycling for fitness, but don't want to be on the road with traffic, the purpose built Northwestern Cycleway is a great option. The more experienced can tackle the whole track which can start at either Henderson or Newton(just by the motorway on ramp) which takes about 45 - 60 min to complete. I am a novice so the full ride took me just on an hour but you can hop on and off the track at any point along the way. The ride takes you past Kingsland, the green stretches of the Western Springs golf course, the picturesque Waterview, alongside the mangroves at Te Atatu before ending at Central Park Drive in Henderson. There aren't too many hilly bits but enough to get the blood pumping and on a nice day the view over the Waitemata Harbour is stunning."

72 Greys Avenue, Auckland Central, Auckland 1010
"It’s no secret that I love my Newton neighbourhood and the leafy green jewel in the crown is Myer’s Park. On your descent of the stairs from St Kevin’s Arcade the splendid grounds of Myer’s Park are revealed, as well as a number of iconic inner city buildings. The flat grassy area at the top, under the sprawling branches of the trees, is the perfect place to sit in the sun and have lunch or coffee. Travel further down the winding path and you will find a number of other idyllic spots to relax in and take in the serenity of this inner city park."
