" Working out in a hot sauna, though it is good for the body while sweating and stretching with moves that will make you feel flexible. Perfect for that winter exercise."

"Best Yoga place I have been to! Barbara is such an amazing teacher in tune with each persons abilties"
" My weekly class at Svastha Yoga has got to be one of the best things I do for myself. The focus during the class is on breath - letting the breath lead the movement - which leaves you feeling calm and centred. The classes are small and the practice tailored to the energy and needs of the students on the day, which means the practice is safe - challenging yet within the boundaries of what is realistic for each student. Barbara runs the studio and teaches with integrity and respect for yoga in the true, holistic sense of the word. If you're looking for an authentic yoga practice, you will love Svastha Yoga."

"I do love hot yoga, feel so much more flexible in that environment, I did find it a bit of a challenge when I first started, but after a few times I could really feel the difference in my body."
"Bikram Yoga is an intense workout, an acquired one at that - I personally felt terrible during my first class. I really recommend sticking with it though as by even your second class your body gets used to the heat, the sweat and the detox and feels amazing, buzzing and light afterwards. Totally refreshing and revitalizing, and a great stretch and tone for your muscles. I haven’t done anything else that compares to it. It’s a really great way to centre yourself after a busy day. The facilities and instructors at both Ponsonby and Newmarket are excellent. Really recommend it!"

" First time to this studio and it definitely wont be the last. I am definitely a bit of a Bikram Yoga nut, and I really was impressed with the beautiful space (studio) and also the instructors charisma and ability. Cant wait to go back for my second class. "

"I like the Ashtanga yoga classes here. Jodie’s bilingual Manderin and English class on a Saturday is a delight. Even though the class is tough she has such a great voice and I love hearing it in 2 languages."
"They have a great timetable - if you need to fit in a class at lunchtime you can. The most experienced teachers in Auckland. You’ll feel better for just walking in to this place."
" I purchased yoga lessons for a month via groupon, for $49. Never done yoga before, always wanted to try it. Yoga academy offers beginner courses and really looks after you, I learned a lot and still practice. It is a nice, clean, warm atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. Different teacher every day. Free chai tea in the chillout area and relaxing music. Big changing rooms with heaters and showers. 2 Yoga areas and enough space, sometimes the evening courses are a bit packed and it gets cozy in there. Still I only can recommend this place!"

" Ashram Yoga not only has highly qualified teachers but everyone is extremely encouraging and welcoming. I especially love the lunch time pilates classes and would recommend Ashram Yoga to anyone looking for a place to explore your body and physical as well as mental potential. "
" Ashram yoga has changed my life!! Need I say more? Such a wealth of knowledge, whether you want to get fit and stretched or are looking for a complete spiritual journey, Ashram yoga can provide both, and everything inbetween. By far the best and most comprehensive 'type' of yoga I have ever found. Real yoga, traditional yoga....and amazing teachers!"

"I've really enjoyed my sessions at Iyengar Yoga Centre on Auckland's Great North Rd. Firstly, it's a great space with lots of light and a great outlook; secondly the instructors are fantastic and really accommodating, no matter what level you're at. That said, I recommend signing up for one of their eight-week introductory courses. Along with being a good deal pricewise, it's also a great introduction to Iyengar, or yoga more generally if you've never done it before."
"Yoga has always kind of intimidated me, I’m not the most flexible of people and group classes aren’t really my thing. Deciding to bite the bullet and give it a go I ended up at the Iyengar Yoga Centre on Great North Rd and I was really impressed by the beginners class. Susie was our teacher and she instantly made my partner and I feel welcome. Some of the poses can be a little awkward at first but with a little guidance they are easier to get right. For a first timer like myself I would without a doubt recommend heading along and getting out of your comfort zone, I definitely left feeling a little euphoric - I can see why this would be addictive!"

"With the Yoga exercises that Sarrah has recommended for my sciatic pain, I get a pain free night. Free from the kind of pain that is a 9/10. I attend weekly classes with Sarrah and know that every session takes years of aging away. Yoga gives me a body that can cope and thrive. Yoga heals and teaches the value of each breathe. Yoga gives peace of mind. Yoga with Sarrah is a blessing."

"Just started classes and the tutor in the introductory class makes you comfortable & welcome. Just hard enough to make it feel good & easy enough for everyone. It really makes your body feel great & there are lots of class times to choose from. Highly recommend giving it a go. Pretty good at $18 a class or get a concession card. You’ll be hooked after your first class!"
" Two months ago a friend invited me to do a lesson at Mt Eden Yoga. Being a complete beginner I was a little worried at my lack of “flexibility”. The teacher was very patient and made everyone felt at ease. We went through a series of classic yoga movements and I was able to keep up. Everyone was quiet and concentrated on the moves. There was a sense of calm and serenity to attending a class at Mt Eden Yoga. I felt like at the end of the class I had given myself an hour and half of massage. The class finished off with 5 minutes meditation and relaxation. It was exactly what I needed."
