I came here after a rave from Metro last year - Zus & Zo was mentioned in an article about Auckland's best cafes. I was actually pretty disappointed by both the service and the food - the so-called prosciutto in my wife's sandwich tasted a hell of a lot more like corned beef to the two of us, and when this was mentioned to the wait staff the response was to a) correct my pronunciation of the word 'prosciutto' (thanks) and then b) dismiss my claim without actually bothering to look at the offending sandwich. My croque madame was OK, but not a patch on the ones Shaky Isles consistently serves up. Maybe I just came on the wrong day, but I honestly can't understand the raves this place has gotten. Good coffee though. That's something.

I love this place. I like to go on my own and devour a coffee and magazine in a nice quiet sunny spot, as it is a bit tricky to head there with the buggy. When I do head there with the buggy for takeaway to my delight they also do a takeaway fluffy for the littlie for free!!

These guys know how to celebrate.  Eve Graham did an amazing performance suspended from the ceiling, accompanied by the jugglers, face painters and music it was night to go down in history and we haven't even mentioned the menu yet  which reflects the dutch heritage of the owners
