Fresh loaf of sourdough every couple of days. So good. Best loaf in Auckland.

Wild Wheat know bread, and they also take bread pretty seriously. Having been voted by Metro as the best bread since 2004 you know that they’re doing something right. Thre is a fantastic range to choose from ranging from sourdoughs to brioche and gluten free options. I got the bread of the month which was quinoa and apricot loaf. It was a flvoursome loaf with chunks of apricot scattered throughout the loaf matched with crunch of that in vogue grain quinoa. Delicious.

Must try :)

I look forward to Saturday mornings because I get to have a delicious almond croissant from Wild Wheat with my coffee. I've tried the rest, and Wild Wheat is the best!

Wild Wheat is definitely a favourite bread shop for us.  They have some amazing bread and it's not too badly priced for what you get.  Some of their huge loaves make an impressive statement if you're taking something to share!  I went in today and tried their blueberry and caramel brioche.  It was delicious.  They had a good special on ciabatta too - $5 for two loaves - which is their weekly special.  Well worth stopping here if you get the chance.

Impressive selection of bread can fit into this small space! Loving the amount of wheat-free available too… Very good rye sour dough

I'd love to see a Wild Wheat cafe! The french baguette is what we always buy, it's substantial and just satisfying to eat.

I have never had a dud bread. They have all been delicious. I recommend the kumara sourdough!

Sounds yum :)

There's lots to like here: the Turkish pide is great, the sourdoughs too, the rhubarb brulee is rich and good for sharing, the meringues great when you crave something sweet but not heavy, the alomd criossants are filled with more of a creme anglaise than almond paste, but they're really good, too. The only let down I've ever had here was overcooked croissants on one occasion, but every other time the food has been faultless. Their gluten free bread is good value at around $6.50 for a dense loaf that lasts ages.

This is a wonderful bakery! They always get rave reviews around Easter time- for their superb hot cross buns- but I hear they are doing Stollen now so I'll have to go sample that! The staff have been a bit frazzled once or twice- but it does get busy in there, so who can blame them? And it is the bread that really matters- and that never fails to impress.
