Waipu Cove Beach is a picturesque beach located a short drive from the town of Waipu famous for its Scottish heritage and museum. The long white sandy beach overlooks the unspoiled Bream Bay and is a popular spot for local families and visitors.

There is a holiday park at the southern end of the beach and a luxury resort close by. The onsite toilets feature some colourful artwork and there are pincic tables on the grassy area perfect for a feast of fish and chips.

An excellent surfing, swimming and fishing spot, see if you can spot the dolphins and whales in the bay.

This is a little slice of very quiet heaven. If you go on a week day, and especially during winter, it's unlikely you'll see another soul. Bring a book and embrace the solitude or a ball and bunch of friends and ruin it - either way it's one of New Zealand's precious east coast spots.

Surfing and dolphin spotting!

A quiet little beach where the sand is soft and the water sparkles crystal blue. Claim your piece of paradise with a book and a towel during lazy days. Perfect for holidays.
