Twenty Three

Came across this place as was desperate for a coffee. Fell in love when i discovered the outdoor courtyard. 

Driving down mt eden road....blink, and youll miss this place!  Just remember; heading away from the city opposite galbraiths!   Had lunch here; beautiful mince on toast and the omelettes look amazing.  Its pretty close' to each other/intimate setting, but hey - we were there for the food!   and if I get a park right outside; im stopping again!

The back patio here is perfect for having a meeting and a great coffee. Easy and relaxed staff. Only downer is no WIFI, but other than that, it ticks all the other boxes. 

I love Cafe 23 - I work just around the corner so frequent here often. The coffee is fantastic, and there is a huge range of food options. Lovely to sit outside in summer or winter in the courtyard out the back.

Gotta try the omellette its delish, and the mince on toast has a hint of herbs and spice w/shaved parmesan - such a nice touch. Its a simple menu, cooked beautifully with nice (but really close close surroundings).  Your almost touching your neighbours arm upon eating, but the food is so nice that you dont worry!

I really wish I could come here more often but parking can be a bit difficult during the week as it is right at the top of Mt Eden Road. However it is definitely worth going to, every time I visit this place I have had extreme difficulty deciding between the huge array of delicious options! They do an excellent fresh mozzarella, avocado and tomato baguette (only place I know of to use proper fresh mozzarella in this way-I got addicted to these in Amsterdam), lots of yum salads and on top of that a menu which I haven't got around to trying because I'm so tempted by the cabinet food each time! Their coffee is great, (but they do serve double shots for every coffee, so if you're not used to drinking flat whites etc that way make sure to ask for half strength).

this is becoming my new favourite cafe as it has great food, great coffee and great service with a smile. emma, martin and the team are fantastic 

A group of us came in and there was no problem combining tables. I had the Soup which was yum and asked for salad rather then bread (random I know) and didn't have any issues. Cafe dining at it's easiest!
