Love the french toast, well worth the wait.

    Allpress coffee, creative, tasty menu food and variety of great cabinet offerings. Friendly, helpful staff.

      Great cafe in Highbury shops, my favourite place to stop in for a coffee.

        This place is a nice walk from the mall and is a nice big cafe. There are yummy items in the cabinet and the coffee is great, with yummy smells coming from the kitchen.  the service is really good and there always seem to have a good number of staff on. Well worth a nice stroll around the birkenhead area.

          The best things about Tongue and Groove are the hot chocolate and the piles of magazines to plough into it. I always enjoy a lazy hour with a trashy mag and yummy hot choc.

            Loved the coffe at T & G! really tasty and just the right temperature. Must go back for food.

                Tongue and Groove do a fantastic breakfast; we've eaten here several times while running errands in Birkenhead. The menu is not your usual run-of-the-mill, and they pride themselves on homemade pastries, cakes etc. Much of their food is free range or organic. There's a nice outside area, just on the pavement, so you can sip a coffee or eat your meal watching the world go by. Dogs are welcome outside, and with the outside area cordoned off, cafe-style, you can safely keep your mutt under the table and out the way of passing foot traffic. The staff are always really friendly, the food fast to arrive, and the coffees really are great. Overall, probably my second-favourite cafe for an all day breakfast in Birkenhead.

                  Staff are always friendly and keen to please. Coffee is good. Interesting interior. Light relaxed atmosphere. Great for a Sunday brunch.
