Top your night off with a fantastic dessert paired with a glass of Tirohana’s much talked about wines. Try one of the Italian style dishes like the refreshing raspberry and limoncello semifreddo or bombolini (filled doughnut) with dulce de leche and walnut brittle. Their signature dish however is something delicously different - spiced pumpkin bread and butter pudding, with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
My friend had her wedding at Tirohana vineyard and as part of it we all stayed a few days before the wedding. Of course we had to have the High Tea the day before the wedding and they treated us like princesses. It’s fair to say that after a couple of teas and sweet treats we had to enjoy some of their wines too!
I admit that I can be a bit of a tight wad when it comes to money. However, I do know that there are a few occasions when it's best to splash out, especially if afterwards it's all been worth it. Dinner at Tirohana Vineyard sure made it worthwhile. I had the lamb which was perfectly cooked and I would count it as being one of top meals I have ever had. The pinot noir I had was also so good I took a bottle home with me afterwards.
