The Pizza Library Co

I love this place! The atmosphere is so cool and quirky and the staff are amazingly friendly, but above all the pizza is damn great. Pizza Library pack on all sorts of exciting toppings and the pizza sizes are more than generous. Some of the more uniques pizzas are the butter chicken and roast lamb pizzas, to name a few. My personal favourite is "The Bibe" with sausage, pepperoni, smoked bacon, caramelised onions, mozzarella & smoked bbq sauce. So many smokey, meaty flavours it’s heaven.

This pizza place’s reputation preceded its arrival in town. Those who had sampled a Pizza Library pizza at their Rotorua restaurant knew to expect good things when the doors opened at the Mount. I’ve been there twice and both times sat outside on the vintage furniture , enjoying the sun and people watching. The pizzas are HUGE and flavoursome, without being over the top. The service is swift - just what you want you’re hungry enough to eat a large pizza.

These guys only recently opened a second store at the Mount, after proving a big hit in Rotorua. They sell well priced thin-based pizzas which are REALLY generous in size. Their retro theme with old theatre and bus seats is cool and their location is great for people watching on a summer’s day.

OK, so pizza is not the healthiest , especially if you go for the major chains… but if you opt for a more gourmet company such as The Pizza Library you know you’re getting fresh (and healthier) ingredients. For example why not try the "Summer Season" pizza: tomato, sweetcorn, spiced chickpeas, caramelised onions, artichoke, mozzarella, mango sauce, fresh herbs & rocket. Now that is one healthy pizza! Enjoy.

Gotta have Wind in the Willows! Boasts a secret tomato sauce, barbeque pork, caramelised onions, mozzarella and herbs. Nom nom nom nom nom.

Every pizza here is aptly named after a literary classic. My favourite is Little Women - featuring roast chicken, caramelised onions, brie and cranberry sauce!

A great selection of pizza's and with the size of the pizza's you wont walk away unhappy with the quality or go hungry.
