On the way for a surf The Food Department is the perfect stop to fuel your energy.

The European inspired pizza, bread and coffee restaurant has a range of items on the menu to choose from, with the pizza as a local favourite. They also offer take out as an option if you're in a hurry.

I'm loving Raglan's the Food Department. Amazing pizzas, great local atmosphere and a totally hip food joint. The pizza toppings are to die for (I always choose the Works) - it's a fab lunch stop and a good place to catch up with all the locals and get a real feel for what Raglan is all about.

    My absolute favourite place to buy ice cream in the Waikato. Delicious flavours, excellent value (from $2.50 a cup!), of homemade, Italian gelato. The Raglan roast coffee will get you zinging, while the salted caramel is a scoop of pure luxury. They’ve also got some fantastic fresh fruity sorbets and a couple of unusual combos such as rice and cinnamon. Changes through the season.

      It just keeps getting better. The pizza is still AMAZING. Authentic, Italian and delicious, you can get a whole one to share, (takeaway or dine in), or a big slice for $6. Yum. They’ve got lots of flavours, but I think my favourite is the brie and pumpkin. Made with fresh, local ingredients where possible, pop by on your way to or from the beach.

        What used to be an average dairy has now been transformed into a funky cafe with a distinctly Italian vibe - Raglanites have declared this place a hit! It’s a fab spot to stop off on the way back into town from a surf. The Italian owner makes everything with love and care, and their selection of authentic gelato, pizza, bread, tiramisu, and pasta will have your mouth watering. Tip: Try their coffee gelato - made from Raglan Roast beans!
