As many of you know the boys have been sitting like caged animals on Para-Anchor sea anchor for the last seven days at the mercy of the weather.
Fortunately, a change is on the way. A window of opportunity is opening up that should allow Team Gallagher the chance to make a dash for Cape Reinga. The wind is abating, the current is favourable, the boys are rested, it’s time to come home.
So as the guys celebrate James Blake’s 25th birthday today and we all bid goodbye to 2011, we hope and pray that the Tasman will come to the party.

Happy birthday James, keep those birthday spirits up!

Happy birthday James ...Just remember to go for the wide shots with bits of the boat or crew in foreground and dont forget to get those big close ups of hands and faces. Try not to do too much hand holding ( camera that is ) and keep the cameras dry and the lenses clean. Looking forward to viewing the rushes !
Cheers, Robert.
