This café may be modest from the outside, but it has a truly urban courtyard out the back and simple seating inside in an unpretentious environment.

The food is great and inexpensive and the coffee is consistently excellent.

Service is friendly, personal and fast, and the customers are an interesting mix.

Was a regular there with flatties on Saturday mornings when I lived in the area. Quirky, alternative vibe is a nice change from the usual Parnell swank. The banana palms and poetry in the courtyard are a nice touch with a cat to keep the customers company.

    Coffee or a smoothie plus cute courtyard in Parnell equals success!  I've never had a bad time here and I've gone here for 10+ years - back into the 90s even!

      These guys are the best. Friendly, welcoming and great food and coffee. Set up originally by a Dutch guy in the early 90s it still resembles a classic bohemian Amsterdam coffee shop. My favorite.

        Get the muesli with yoghurt. I'm no health nut but I can't get enough of it! Great range of other food as well but just can't seem to get past that muesli!

          I used to live in Parnell but am now forced to travel across town for SA's Cajun chicken sandwich. It's worth every minute in a traffic jam. Friendly staff too. Yummy choc smoothies also. Dragged my husband and baby there in the rain last Sunday - well worth it.
