This place is one of my favourite spots in Auckland to grab a few easy beers on the cheap after a day at work. The entrance is a rough wee doorway between a hotel and a dairy which leads to a corridor and a set of stairs taking you up to the second story pub area with a decent sized deck. It's all bare brick, bar stools and shiny beer taps inside, with a contemporary design and the atmosphere of an old school English Pub. If you're a POM pining for the comforts of home Spitting feathers has an impressive range of English beers and ciders starting at an amazing $6 a pint. $6!!!! To be honest though I come here for the Thursday night deals which include $3 Heinekens and $5 Pizzas - ideal for a mid week session!

      Spitting Feathers is a great pub and reminds me of being in the UK, its a great addition to Auckland  Really nice food and beer at great prices, thanks for a brilliant night out. 

        I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard the English shop was going to open a pub up in downtown Auckland. However this place exceeded my expectations, really contemporary decor, great out balcony, and tasty English pub fare and pork scratchings! 

          Well priced, decent food, decent beer and amiable staff. Just what the city needed!

            OK, this has got to be the best deal for a cheap meal out with a couple of drinks. $20 for a big steak, fries, and 3 beers. I will see you on Wednesday night Spitting Feathers...

                When I heard we were going for $5 wines, I didn't have high expectations... but I was pleasantly surprised by Spitting Feathers. It has a great atmosphere, it's clean, the staff are friendly and the drink prices are very reasonable. I'll be back.

                    Love this pub - great food, fun staff AND they have WKD orange (a favourite of irish people who remember when RTD's were 'new'!) AND who can complain about $5 heineken bottles!!
