Shellrock Takeaways is a popular takeaway located opposite Mount Maunganui Library. The traditional fish and chip shop is popular with both locals and visitors for their fresh fish and delicious homemade chips. They also sell a range of other fast food favourite including some tasty burgers

Grab a family sized pack on a sunny day and take the short walk to Marine Parade where you can sit on one of the picnic tables and enjoy magnificent views of Ocean Beach while you eat.

Place has seriously gone down hill recently. My mates and I got the worst food poisoning from there the other night. The takeaways by astrolabe is a far better option and bang for your buck

      This is a classic old school fish n’ chip shop. The menu hasn’t changed in years and neither has the great service and yummy fish n’ chips. It has a great reputation for a well cooked chip and is located on Maunganui Road - enroute to the Main Mount Beach or Pilot Bay.
