Rosie Cafe is on a bright and sunny spot in Parnell, a stone's throw from the Rose Gardens.

While it may not be situated on the most visible spot in the suburb's main street, Rosie is well-known to locals who flock to the little hidden gem of a cafe for their delicious take on brunch classics (their twice-baked French toast is a standout), amazing eclairs, great Allpress coffee and the best milkshakes in town.

With some great cabinet options always on display, Rosie is the perfect place to stop by for a midday meal or indulgent treat.

Great service here! The food was fast and tasted amazing!!! I wanted just some bacon and eggs as I'm doing paleo at the moment, and though it wasn’t specifically on the menu, they were very accommodating offering to make it for me no problems at all. I ordered bacon and eggs and avocado. All ingredients tasted fresh and the breakfast was full of flavour. Great table service, filling my water glass constantly and the coffee was delicious also. Very friendly staff, food was amazing, coffee was great, lovely modern look but still easy-going ambience.

Interesting menus, beautifully presented dishes, trendy decor and impeccable service are all things Aucklanders have come to expect from eateries operated by the Hip Group, and Rosehip Cafe is no exception. Even though we arrived on a busy Saturday morning, turnover was quick and we managed to get a table immediately. I love seeing strange things on the menu that you have to Google or ask about, and Rosehip was no disappointment there. Even though the brisket hash and rabbit sausage sounded very enticing, I ended up getting the field mushrooms, which turned out to be an excellent choice. Just like Ortolana (or any other Hip Group cafe), the dish is like a work of art, and each mouthful was fresh and bursting with flavour. Service was attentive without being annoying, and the coffee was delicious and hot (plus mochas and hot chocolates come with a special homemade marshmallow). If you're bored of the usual eggs benny at run of the mill cafes, give Rosehip a go!

Rosehip is a surprising little cafe right across the road from the Parnell Rose Gardens. The draw card isn’t the coffee, although I hear they make a good brew, what brings us back time and again are the eclairs. Yes the eclairs; those oblong shaped pastries made with choux dough and filled with a cream, topped with icing. Eclairs often get pushed aside to make way for their american cousin, the doughnut, but they will be undervalued no more. Move over doughnut its time for the eclair to take centre stage.

Came here for breakfast one morning as I had heard a great review from a friend. I got the eggs benedict as ordered by my friend. What I thought was great is that you can swap the bacon for mushy peas which I love and can never seem to find anywhere, although I would never give up bacon so I got it as a side. Words cannot describe the deliciousness that was experienced. The service was quick and friendly, the place is so relaxed and quaint on the corner of an unsuspecting road of Parnell near the Rose Gardens, so it is all very cute and romantic. The old fashioned lemonade they make is to die for! Absolutely no complaints about this place, one of the best breakfast joints out.

Prices are around the same as Takapuna cafe but very good food. Love the menu always something great on it. The smashed eggs is delicious and their salted caramel hot chocolate is amazing. Definitely must try and I am not a fan of hot chocolate usually. I asked if the fresh orange juice was squeezed and was told yes, to my disappointment it was put through a juicer. Makes for foamy, frothy juice :(  Our potato rostis were terrible. Ashen grey and super gluggy, we both had two bites and left it on the plate. I assumed this was Rosehip's version of a rosti and it came down to my personal preference for a crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside so didn't say anything to the staff until asked at the cashier, they comped a coffee for our troubles.

I love the fact the staff never blink an eye lid when i come in red faced and sweaty from my waterfront run in the morning, Always very professional and prompt. Great coffee everytime!

There are many unique and tasty options on the brunch menu at Parnell's Rosehip Cafe, but I how could I not try the twice baked French toast with roasted pistachios, berry compote, mascarpone and lavender syrup? So delicious and just the right amount on the plate.

I love this cafe! It has great outdoor flow and excellent service :) I love the house smoked salmon..my favourite cafe to lunch at in the summer time.

After a recommendation from a friend decided to try this out after the La Cigale markets! Food was divine. Also ordered a salted caramel milkshake!

Rosie is extremely popular so you might have to wait for a table. But when you get one it's worth the wait. The food is fresh, the menu has different flavours and tastes. The smashed eggs is delicious without the typical heaviness of a hash browns, sausage, bacon egg breakfast meal. Substantial but light and satisfying. The grilled tuna salad is just as hearty. The meals and drinks are pricey but you get what you pay for. Love this place!
