Great friendly service + good Kiwi kai. Can’t go wrong with a piece of Hoki with fries!

Always good service and fresh fish served at a fair price! Regards Nigel Randell .

Driving in the deep dark depths of Pakuranga on a rainy night in May is not everybody's idea of a great time.  But, having found ourselves on a mission to sample the supposed superior offerings of Pakuranga Fresh Fish and Takeaways, we were in for anything. The shop is off the main road and in a rather glum looking strip of shops.  There is an abandonment that one feels..like the 70s forgot to come and pick up their order.  Empty cabinets do nothing to assuage the fear.  Oh but you must.  Put that fear aside and leave it at the door.  This is the Audi Quattro of fish and chip shops on a Mitsubishi Mirage budget.

Service with a smile in this store. The chips are crunchy and the fish is fresh. A very small selection of soft drinks available, hidden away in the chiller behind the counter. The glass shop chiller was empty. In fact all counter showcases were empty, but for a few ageing most cardboard notices. For a minute I thought the place might be closed, though there was an 'open' sign on the window.

Fish is fresh but batter wasnt crispy like most takeaways. Chip portion was really good and they were cooked well.  The usual range of food available at affordable prices. Definitely good enough for a second visit but will continue to look for another great takeaway.

Good value fish and chips with decent portions, nice fish burgers

You can be guaranteed to be served beautiful, crispy on outside, soft in middle chips, and good sized fillets of fresh fish. They batter the fish themselves and cook from fresh in oil. Customer service is tops, you are greeted with a smile and name.
