This is a great little market with a friendly happy atmosphere. Great coffee, fresh vegetables and delicious food and gelato on offer. I always look forward to my next visit.

Local, sustainable, fresh and delicious, I love Fridays because of the Ohoka Farmers Market. Celebrating all things local, the only food providers selling their goods are from North Canterbury and are closely related to the production process - so you know exactly where you food is coming from.

This low key market is considered one of the best in Christchurch. The number of stallholders vary over the season but one thing always remains the same … high quality produce that tastes good and is good for you.

If you're ever at a market in Christchurch, make sure you keep an eye out for Volcano - their dips are so delicious and naturally colourful - and they're not expensive either! I love their amazing range of olives too.

Delicious tapas from the old Volcano café people from Lyttelton. Their premises was demolished after the February earthquakes, so they’ve set themselves up selling some of the most delicious market finger food imaginable. Blue cheese stuffed olives, lemon artichoke hearts, pepperdews and dolmades. Lois from Volcano can hook you up with tapas for any event.
