Established in 2004, No.1 Pancake has become a bit of an institution with those seeking a cheap eat in the city centre. Located in a kiosk on the corner of Wellesley and Lorne Streets, you will often see queues of people waiting for one of their tasty Korean pancakes.

With a tempting selection of sweet and savoury options to choose from, all of which cost less than $5, some of their more popular offerings include beef and cheese, ham, pineapple and cheese and their deliciously sweet cinnamon and sugar.

This hole in the wall is the perfect comfort food for rainy days spent craving something hot, something salty and something sweet. While everything is super good, the chicken & cheese has to be my favourite.

A great place to grab a quick bite if you are on a budget. Tasty pancakes with a good choice of fillings. I had the ham,, cheese and pineapple which set me back only $4!

Cheap and tasty food on the run, and they do all their savoury options sans cheese if you ask. Dairy free dining tip!

I LOVE this 'cheap eat'. It's worth the wait, trust me. This isn't gourmet fare but it's comfort food on the cheap when you're waiting for your next pay day. They do both sweet (chocolate, red bean) and savoury (potato, cheese, chicken & cheese, etc). I've grabbed a sweet &/or savoury pancake instead of cooking tea when I've felt super lazy. The staff are always cheerful. Long live Korean pancakes!

This cute little stall in the heart of the CBD is a great place to stop for a chocolate pancake. Hot pancake goodness on the outside, moulten lava-like chocolate gooeyness on the inside. They are served hot so be warned.

Best pancake ever. Truly loved both the savoury and sweet ones.

My all time favourite pancakes, that can never be missed every time I pass by it. I love No.1 Pancake as it tastes so delicious that you'll keep wanting to go back again. My friend and I got each a savoury and a sweet pancake and loved it so much. Truly the best pancake in Auckland.

While I was at uni the Korean pancakes from No. 1 Pancakes were my go to for lunch. Endless sweet and savoury pancakes are churned out of the busy little hole in the wall. My personal favourite is the ham and cheese pancake. It’s almost more like a toastie than a pancake, with a crispy interior and gooey centre. The best thing is that the are super affordable and always fresh. Worth checking out!

The Pancakes are absolutely amazing. I took a friend over and she truly loved it. We had the sweet chocolate pancake. Everytime, I'm on queen street shopping, I'll drop by No.1 Pancake and have a hot pancake on the go. Both their sweet and savoury pancakes taste delicious.

I truly love the pancakes which are freshly made in front of us. My favourite one is the chocolate, ham and cheese and the beef and cheese. No.1 Pancakes has now become my favourite snack that I often take back as everyone at home loves it.
