The malthouse has such an impressive array of beers, it’s hard not to be in love with the place; there is a rotating list of over over 150 beers, from craft beer to imported, exotic numbers. With a number of big screens, and cozy corners a plenty, the vibe will be sure to be electric, this would be the place to go with a group of friends, ready to get rowdy.
30 beers on tap. 30! If you come to this bar and can't find a beer you enjoy go home because your wrong. This is beer Mecca in Wellington with what is definitely the best selection in NZ's craft capital. 30! The atmosphere is super chill with big screens, dark timber and shining beer taps characterizing this classic kiwi pub. The staff are all characters - one fellow with a beard in particular - and they really know their stuff so if you're lost amongst a sea of beersies then just ask and they'll point you in the right direction. If you're after a quality brew and perhaps something a little different pop in to the Malthouse today and grab a pint of something tasty.
Pick a beer, any beer, and I bet they have it in stock at Malthouse. With six temperature-controlled refrigerators behind the bar and a rotating list that consistently boasts over 150 beers, you'll be hard pressed not to find something you like on their menu. I'm partial to the Garage Project's Aro Noir, one of about 30 brews on tap at Malthouse. Come in on a cool winter's night to fuel up and watch rugby with friends on one of the bar's many big screen TVs. And if beer's not your thing, don't sweat it-- they're known to make a mean vodka soda as well.
