theres a lot of stuff and ingridients for Japanese cooking, plus helpfull staff. and i would like to thank Sayaka for answering my email inquery .

This store has so much stuff to look at I never know where to go first. I love to buy stuff for my kitchen and this place is definitely the place to go, it has so much cute, quirky Asian home ware items I could spend all day in this shop. I have purchased a cake tin from here and some cupcake holders which always get so many compliments when I whip them out at baking parties and pretend to be all Hottest Home Baker with my cute accessories. Everything is super affordable here so it’s great for me the poor uni student.

This colourful store is a great place to get Japanese dishes and other ceramics. They also have stunning kimonos for great prices and a large selection of Japanese food stuffs.

If you've ever tasted Japanese mayo (it's great on raw cabbage - for real!), you'll know that a giant bottle of the stuff is an excellent gift idea. Made in Nippon sell it in a variety of sizes.

Made in Nippon has been on Queen St for as long as I can remember, right next to the Auckland Martial Arts Supplies store and Tanuki's Cave. They have all sorts of great gift options here (including giant bottles of Japanese mayo!), but I reckon a sake set ($30) is the way to go if you're looking for something for the person who has it all. Throw in a bottle of sake too and you'll (all) be laughing.

This is a shop filled with useful, quality things (as well as things that are not so useful). My brother and I have bought the following items and been satisfied with them: pens, chopsticks, an umbrella and cute Japanese crockery. Fast and efficient service too.

I was absolutely amazed at what was available here.  Good prices and variety, great for quirky gifts and different homewares.

One of my favorite places to go for Japanese products and they do not mind if I practice the language on them! Friendly, helpful here. Books, DVD, drinks, sweet and savory foods, clothes all sorts to choose from.

I love all things Japanese, and I love going to made in Nippon. If you've ever been to the restaurant 'Kura' on Queen St and ordered Japanese beer, chances are you'll have had it a pottery cup with little 'dimples' & wondered where on earth you can get some of them. Well, the answer is: Made in Nippon! (&its like right next door). Made in Nippon sell a variety of Japanese items, including cooking materials, homewares, kimono, obi, geta, kokeshi dolls, ingredients, alcohol, beauty products, etc... I would recommend checking out this place before JapanMart - from my personal experiences it's cheaper.
