Kids on Bikes is an annual kids biking event for children aged 5 to 13 years. Established in 2013, the event is held at the Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park.

Replacing the former 'Kids Bike Jam', there are 3 cross-country courses to choose from ranging from 2.5kms to 5.8kms. Run by the Hawke's Bay Mountain Bike Club, it introduces children to the joys of mountain biking and offers a fun day out in the sun that the whole family can enjoy.

With a sausage sizzle and coffee cart onsite, each child receives a medal upon completion and there are a range of spot prizes to be won.

For a challenging and fun day try the Kids on Bikes event on Sunday, September 21 at Pan Pac Mountain Bike Park in Eskdale. Entry via the Tait Rd entrance, just off SH 2. There are 3 different cross-country options and a skills course –choose from the short 2.5km, 4 km medium, or long 5.8km course. All you need is to be between 5-13 years of age, have a bike with a current WoF, a helmet, and a sense of daring and adventure and to give it a go.
