Through the storage room and up the stairs you'll find Jack, the elusive, best kept secret of Ponsonby. Lesser known little cousin of bars, Harry and George, you'll really have to look to find this local spot.

Jack is the third brainchild of Ella Mizrahi and Oliver Driver and much like George and Harry, is ingenuously one of the 'coolest' bars on the block.

Behind Harry and George you’ll find this wee hidden gem (ask at the bar if you can’t find it). Perfect to kick off your night relaxing with a few good cocktails and bad friends, or as a location for wooing someone special.

    Saturday night found me searching frivolously for this secret bar! It came 2am and through the grapevine I had heard it was open until 3am. Though as I tried my luck at the front of Harry, with a knowing smirk the bouncer shook his head, not tonight. Even the exchange with the bouncer was exhilarating, we both knew there was a pumping little bar hidden somewhere behind him but I guess it's all about time and place, I will try my luck again next Saturday! I'm sure it will be worth it when I get in.
