I really enjoy the beer here, on of the few brewers taps in Auckland. The variety of there own beer beers from other breweries and spirits is really good with various tastes in each spirit depending on your preferences. Really handy for a pre gig meeting place slash drink though can get really busy on such nights. Keep up the good work galbraiths!
Everything you'd want in a pub except value for money. A crazy awesome selection of international and local beers, micro-brewed or no. Great atmosphere. I just didn't feel like the pub fare measured up to the beverages. Expensive and miser-like... the sting was softened with the ever-affable Three Boys Wheat Beer, followed by the black velvet 8wired Stout.
With their own range of beers and a good collection of guest beers on tap, Galbraith's has an intimidatingly good bunch of beers on offer. Their Antipodean Pale Ale and the Bob Hudson Bitter are personal favourites, while Grafton Porter is great in the winter. Also, they're currently serving the Tuatara APA on tap - so get in while you can.
I'm not a beer drinker and I'm a vegetarian. Shocking, I know. But Galbraith's takes me in, it offers me a delicious range of ciders and vegetarian pub snacks like garlic bread, chips and empanadas, making me feel very welcome indeed. It's optional to have the chips fried in animal fat or canola oil, which is a big plus for those of us who appreciate when establishments serving food offer up such options. Most pubs wouldn't tell you what they fry their chips in! Galbraith's is great for a mid-week drink or a Sunday afternoon hang out with friends. Comfortable, friendly and accommodating to my selective palette, thanks Galbraith's!
