Frolic Cafe

Local, closeby and very handy cafe - the food and drinks are ok and prices were acceptable and average compared to other cafes.  It's just across the road from Cornwall Park on Manukau Rd so it was very handy to pop in for a quick drink with the kids after playing on the play area. Child-friendly and staff were nice too.  Parking can be a little crazy on the main road so best to park down one of the side streets and walk back.  The dairy owner next door gets a little grumpy if you park outside his shop and go to Frolic !! - He came looking for us in the cafe to ask us to move our car !!  This was the only down side ! Nice indoor and outdoor dining areas too !

Popped in today and grabbed a few cuppas! Everybody wanted something different, with trim and not, mixed amount of sugars etc - so it was a tricky order - but they got it all right! Was also great to have a couple of kids books to entertain a little somebody while waiting. Service was good, bathroom was clean & the door was closed so it was nice and warm inside! Would go back.

Love coming here! Parking can be a bit of a mish, so I would suggest parking down one of the close side streets. The service is really good. I ordered a coffee and a slice of lemon tart. I thought the prices were fairly standard. I would really like to come here one morning to try the breakfast, as every time I have driven past it, its pretty packed. 

Been here a few times now to meet people for lunch. Seems to be a good middle place for various areas. The meals are good and the cakes too. Clientele is fairly Epsom-ish.

Yummy food, fast service, nice location, easy parking! only issue would be that it’s so busy there’s a little wait for a table but I think u can book one if u have a big group! if you’re in the area great stop!

Was looking at a menu in a nearby cafe, and wasn’t impressed so I pulled up localist to see what was good in the area. We jumped in the car and went to Frolic. The menu here was much more expansive with a good variety for vegetarians. I had the soup of the day (leek and potato) which was subtle but tasty, my mum had fritters which were tasty and a good sized portion. The menu sinfully of dishes that are quick to make so you don’t have to wait too long to get yor food! Both of our drinks were great! The service was polite and friendly!

Good location , good food!

Had a yummy lunch. Calamari and chips were great but side salad a little wilted and sad. Is great to be able to take our dog and baby along. Service was good despite being very busy.

Frolic is across the road from the awesome kids playground at Cornwall Park.  We regularly use it for takeaway coffees whilst at the park.  If you've got an early riser, Frolic opens at 7:30am and will wake you right up.  The coffee is top Auckland standard, that is to say World Class.  But Frolic is much more than just coffee.  Arguably one of the best cafes in the big little city, the food is excellent and it's a favourite for brunch/lunch if we get the opportunity.  Sit outside and watch the world rush by, sit inside and absorb the artwork or supervise the kids on the covered deck out back.  Sweet as.
