Frasers Cafe is a bustling corner cafe in the middle of Mt Eden Village. The french doors open wide to reveal a room crammed with people at tables and chairs and not a scrap of spare space available but do we care? No because the hovering and waiting while you place your order at the back of the shop is well worth it. The service is fast, the food is delicious and lots of it, the quality of the sweets and pies are out of this world. Binoffee pie made on site, delicious layers of caramel, banana slices, blancmange and topped with cream.
I have wanted to go here come here for ages as its always packed every time I've driven past, so it must be good. We came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning just after 11 and it was packed. There were only 3 tables available and we chose to eat outside. The breakfast menu is huge! We both ended up ordering the pancakes. The service was friendly and we had to wait about 10-15mins for our food, which considering how busy it was, was pretty good. The prices are a bit on the pricey side...these were $18 each. The pancakes were not too bad, but I defiantly have had way better elsewhere. They were a tad on the dry side but had a light lemon flavoring to them, but loved how it was served with lots of fresh fruit. Am planning to come back to try dinner here as its always busy at night.
Great: Open till 11pm, very good coffee, cake, and slice So far, I've only been there a couple of times for coffee and I tried a biscuit, a cake, and a slice, which was all very good. The best about this place is that it's not only open later than 3 or 4pm, but till 11pm! Finally a cafe which is open late - like you find it in Europe! Thanks for that! And you have access to the Timizone which is free wifi for the first 30 min.
We love this cafe. The coffee is excellent, the food is great. It's very popular so you can't always get a table but worth the wait. It's always warm and cosy in there with friendly staff. Great location in the heart of Mt Eden. They also do great dinners the only downside is they don't service alcohol.
This place is always busy, and for good reason. Service is fantastic and the menu is always exciting, last time I was there I saw churros were being offered on the menu! It also boasts a great desert selection and the banoffee pie is perfect every time. Another great thing about this place is that it is open late, till about 9 or 10 every night. Great for a late night catch up.
