These guys sell some awesome gourmet pre-prepared pies. It's a great dinner option after a late night at work - just chuck into the oven and voila! Good for winter too especially when all I want to do when I get home is pop my feet into some toasty socks and chill with a glass of wine....and a good pie.
It’s not easy finding a butcher that sells good duck - So I was stoked to land upon Farmers Discount Meats just before Christmas. I love a good five spice roast duck for Christmas (Turkey - no thanks) and this year I really wanted to surprise my Gran who was here in NZ on holiday by trying out her special recipe. The duck was a good, big size (enough to feed the whole family) with lots of fat. YUM!
Great value for money, friendly service and a really good smoking service. Not a bad place to stop at if you're looking for something different to add to the Christmas table or a special treat for the family.
