Esmeralda's Cafe, or Ezzy's as it's affectionately called by regulars, is something of an institution among Papakura locals. Ezzy's specialises in tasty, generous food and friendly service. Open from 9 until late every day, the menu has something for all times of the day – from a filling breakfast in the morning, one of their great burgers for lunch or a late-night Turkish-style kebab as the perfect end to a night out.
But the most famous item on the menu – the one that keeps people coming back - is definitely their hot chips with garlic sauce, which has to be tried to be believed!

If you have put yourself on one of those fad diets and living off little more than lemon juice and pumpkin seeds then perhaps introducing you to Ezmeraldas is not the best idea. Think hot chips oozing with garlic sauce so tasty that people have been known to drink it. If you are used to ordering a kebab late at night on your stumble home and thinking you have never tasted anything as amazing then these kebabs are going to blow your mind. Ezmeralda’s is a Papakura institution, skipping school to get a late lunch feast has been known to tempt even the most studious of local highschoolers. Remember to order the chips and good luck holding back. Sorry in advance to all of those dieters out there.
