Was an awesome gym. Had to leave since my new house is a bit further away.

Nice gym equipment

With a handful of great staff and machines to workout from along with a free carpark for members around the corner, this is now my favourite gym to visit!

I got the 7 days free pass, which is great - a good idea to test a gym and decide if I even like it before signing up, it was good but I only got down there twice. Shame! but it is not the best location and I work shifts so need one closer. Sales guy tried to contact and sell the membership a few times, but had so say no.  But anyway, nice clean gym on two floors! the bike room is funny :) (funny to watch them sweating in that room on all the bikes)

Although this gym is good, it's not great. I work in Newmarket so location wise its great, the equipment is ok - good cardio area, mixed gym has a variety of equipement on offer - but the womens area is small with only a few machines and limited space for stretching etc and the classes, well they are quite small - about 32 people in Power - coming from Les Mills where there is about 60+ in a class - if you are after a quiet gym with equipement to do the job, then it's good. But if you're after flexibility and availability with classes, a bit more upbeat and modern, new equipment and a variety of services then it's not for you.

Having been a loyal Les Mills member, moving to another gym was a bit of a non-event. The facility looks a bit run down, BUT their fitness gear is awesome! They have great classes, and a PT that was perfect for me having ruptured my Achilles. My favourite part would have to be the members themselves though...just normal, friendly, real people who stop and say hello as you're walking up and down the stairwell.

I have been going to City Fitness Newmarket since it opened many years ago. It's in a great location on Nuffield Street. There's usually ample parking and the interior of the gym is large and spacious. A welcoming change from other gyms that can often be overcrowded or cramp. City Fitness feels like a gym that isn't too try-hard. Their membership rates are reasonable and the people that go to the gym range from young sportsmen to local housewives. There's no pressure to be a "gym-junkie" and most people would feel totally at ease rolling up in basic sports attire. Having used to the intimidating atmosphere of Less Mills, I found City Fitness a breath of fresh air. There are always personal trainers near by if you need a tip. I try to workout myself in earnest but the classes and trainers are always there to give you extra motivation.

Always a pleasure to attend group fitness workshops at City Fitness.  Good Facilites and friendly staff.
