We first encountered this bakery several years ago when it started up under French ownership, It then changed hands and went down hill. But we popped in recently to discover, to our delight, that it has new owners, a new name and a German baker. I must confess to the sin of gluttony when I walked in. Everything looked mouth watering, and the coffee was spectacular. Definitely worth going out of your way to find this delicious local.
I found this suburban bakery by accident yesterday. Walked away with the weekend cake and the best Sunflower bread I have ever had. All their products are organic and created on site by a master German baker. My partner bought a chocolate and pear danish which they heated up in the oven, so much nicer than having it bung in the microwave. I will becoming a regular here for sure.
I stumbled across this place one day after going to soccer just along the road. They have the most amazing Bergsteiger loaf- fantastic with the weekend soup.and there are proper German Brezeln! Plus, the pastries are also worth going to visit for. They are making Bienestich this weekend and I am definitely going to get some! Wonderful friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about the food they sell.
