A very popular family-owned bakery who they do a fantastic peppered steak potato top pie and a Greek lamb pie. In fact anything wrapped in pastry comes out gold.

    This is a great spot to get an Anzac biccie - BJ's Bakery are known for doing traditional bakery eats well and their Kiwiana cookie is no exception. They also do an amazing pie too (did I mention flaky as pastry?) so if you are in town, check them out.

      From humble beginnings BJ’s founder Barry Buckrell opened his first bakery in 1992 and with son James now at the helm the award-winning pastry innovations continue. BJ’s freshly-baked pies are so popular they have two outlets, BJ’s Café & Coffee House and BJ’s Café & Lounge in Havelock North. The pies are guaranteed to be fresh – they are taken out of the warmer after two hours, packaged and sold as seconds.
