"After our little stray had her first litter we brought her to Care Vets to have her spayed. A trip to the vets is definitely a stressful time for most animals and I can imagine being spayed would make things ten times worse. The team at Care Vets do their very best to make sure every trip is as calming as possible and our little one was relaxed as anything the second time we made a visit -post operation. This place came highly recommended by a friend and I would certainly agree with her on this one!"
" I have taken my cat Daisy to this vet for years and always been very happy with the service. They have friendly staff members who really take care of our little queen. They also have a cattery service."
" Let's face it.... a lot of us treat our pets like our children (or is that just me?!) All I know is that I ADORE my cat and want the best for her. We got her as a kitten and have taken her for her shots and microchipping at CareVets Te Atatu. So far we have seen two of the vets and both were lovely. They were professional, warm, helpful and really took time to listen. They gave good, down to earth advice and also said my cat was cute (very important, as she is the sweetest thing on the planet.) They were considerate to the cats and our needs (ie taking her out of the room to get her microchipped as it is often as stressful for the owners as it is for the cat as that needle is BIG, and hard for owners to look at!) It was very reassuring that we could confidently use the local vet. I only hope we never need to take her there for something serious. So far so good. Thanks guys."

" I've been taking my cat to Western Vets since she adopted us over three years ago. The vet and staff and very helpful, and they even encourage you to ring after hours if you're worried about something. I haven't done this myself, but a good friend did when her puppy was run over (all good now thanks to Western Vets). Bella, our cat, is notorious for being a bit scatty and amazing at doing a disappearing act when I need to get her to the vets. On a couple of occasions when I've made appointments I've had to cancel them because she's 'done' the great escape. No worries, Western staff just said to bring her in when I could sort her and I could just turn up. What a relief! Big thanks to Western Vets, they're great with animals and also seem well priced, which is good in this day and age of economic gloom."

"BHB Vets are friendly, knowledgeable & take a common sense approach. I have been lucky to have not needed anything but vacs & a bit of dietary advice for my moggy. However I know these vets are the right people for my beloved pet."
" My dog loves going to Blockhouse Bay Vet Centre, and it is because they truly love animals there. As soon as you walk through the door you are welcomed and generally someone will come and welcome my wee boy who just adores all the staff there and wants cuddles from them all (which somehow he usually manages - what a charmer!). I feel happy leaving him with them and know they will look after him as if he was one of there own. He has had to have a couple of day surgeries and they call you to let you know how he is doing during the day and have a great follow up service. Nothing is too much of a problem and even though I might seem like an over-protective mom and comein for some minor ailments, I am never made to feel stupid. "
" We have used BHB Vet's for nearly 20 years now, although Greg no longer owns the Vet Centre the newish owners are fantastic and so friendly. When we sadly had to put our dog to sleep they were very understanding and sympathetic, helping keep the kids entertained while we spent a few last quiet moments with our beloved dog. I would recommend these vets to anyone who cares about their feline and furry friends as part of their family."

"Our whole family uses West Harbour Vets, close to home and have sorted our issues with lots of pets over the years."
"West Harbour Vets have been my vet of choice for the last 2 years and I am very happy with them. Conveniently located on Hobsonville Road they are easy to find. The receptionist is very friendly and the vet even more so. You can tell they have a love of animals which I find very important for my dog."
" We always recommend Bruce and the team at West Harbour to people when they ask about vet clinics. They are always professional, upfront with costs (which is great), the clinic looks and smells clean and the staff are always friendly. They open until 7pm which is really convenient too. "

"I initially started taking my cats to this vet as it was the closest to me when I got them, however, I have since moved and still use them. I feel comfortable and informed when I take my cats to this vet. The staff are friendly and they give discounts if you pay for a service when you book in. I love the reminder letters they send and the follow up calls. "

"From the initial phone call to the actual consultation Animal Health Centre made me feel welcome and supplied me with plenty of information to help me with Bella's inflamed skin. The vet gave Bella a full check up as this was our first visit, recommended several insurers to help with future bills and offered to see Bella again later in the week - it was the Christmas period!"
