"Imagine hanging on for your life on the edge of a gusty mountain face! While Extreme Edge is not quite as perilous i can guarantee it’s just as fun, they have climbs for all age groups and for me it is an awesome way to test my strength and push my limits all with the peace of mind of a harness strapped around my waist."
20 Alderman Drive, Henderson, Auckland 0612
"Or any swimming pool. Kids are free, you can even take your own food and drinks. hydroslide is an extra $2 that you need to pay on entry - the wristband then gives unlimited slides, although there’s usually a 5 min queue. Try Mount Albert if you’re not out west or the Parnell Pools in the summer if your kids are little (take a sun shelter tho)"
"Excellent place to go to work on your fitness or they have so many fun family activities from their wave pools to their recreation programmes."

"My daughter has been attending this academy for the past 8 years. Helen is such a dedicated teacher, she fosters such a sense of pride and achievement in all her students. At the same time the academy is one of the friendliest family orientated place to spend time in. No matter what type of dance you love or what age you are this is the place for you."
" it is a nurturing environment for both younger and older students. My daughter has been in the academy for some 11 years and never likes to miss a day ... I thought she would start at 3years and go for a term or so, and here we still are as she loves the academy so much! It is simply part of her life, and dance helped her in so many other aspects on a day to day basis. Helen is a very dedicated teacher, but even more than that she is very nurturing and caring of all her students. "
" Rhythm n Steps is more than just a top class dance studio. Helen Anderson fosters a real feeling of family and belonging for the children. It's clear that she has a passion and a love for teaching and mentoring children (and adults) to dance. My son has been dancing with Helen since he was 4 years old. It is here that he has made strong friendships and has developed a total love for dance. It isn't just ballet as there are other dance forms on offer too. My son also does Jazz and Tap and loves them both. Your child will be taught by an extremely qualified teacher. They will be taught in a safe and caring environment which is based not only in her expert knowledge of dance but in knowing and understanding how children learn best. If you want your child to love dance, learn it in a safe way, be technically perfect and be part of a big family then this is the Academy for you. ABSOLUTELY THE BESY DANCE SCHOOL IN AUCKLAND!"
West Wave Aquatic Centre, 20 Alderman Drive, Henderson, Auckland 0612
"I took my son here for swimming lessons and he had an absolute blast. The lessons themselves were really varied, the perfect length, and the kids were always fully engaged. The staff are very friendly, and do a great job of ensuring that each child's level of ability is well catered to. I'll definitely be going back once my daughter is old enough."
" I've recently discovered West Wave and am so impressed. A great range of activities for the family. From swimming for toddlers to aquacise for seniors. Really large facility with lots of pools, a slide, cafe, sauna, spa, steam room, gym, etc etc..."

"My 2yr old was also in the mid-year show. It was the most gorgeous experience! Watching my baby up there with the other kids -dancing to Shirely Temples "Animal Crackers" TOO CUTE!! My daughter started at WCSD in early March after winning a concession card at the Toddlers Day Out. Ever since then we both have been looking forward to our (oops -I mean her, lol! ) dance classes, where the teacher Natalie works great with the girls and even encourages my rowdy toddler to listen!! WCSD classes are well structured for little ones and you can change classes to suit your schedule. The classes do the same routinue for a while, which allows your little one a great sense of achievement -shes learning & having FUN! Thank you so much for one of the best experiences of my 'mothering career'. Hurry up next term!!! :-)"

"Park here, 65-67 Central Park Dr, Auckland. Take a run around the athletics track, play in the playground, watch the weekend sports teams or head down to the Henderson Creek and walk your way (as far as you want to go) to Henderson and back."
" The West Auckland equivalent of Vector Arena is Trusts Stadium, a larger venue that holds crowds of up to 5,000 with ease. Close to the North Western Motorway off ramp and the suburb of Henderson, it’s easy to reach and popular with musical and athletic events alike."
" I went to this venue for my second time for the afternoon One Direction concert and it was a really good venue. The seats were comfortable and the sound was fantastic. You could hear everything clearly and the lights weren't too bright. However one problem was not experienced by me but other people. Some of the people got seats right at the back and they were so far away that they probably wouldn't have been able to see anything and there were no screens showing what was happening on stage. Because I was so close it was fine for me but I am sure it would've been a little disappointing for others. However the venue is top class although I think it is more suitable for a sporting event rather than a concert."

"This store has huge selection and real quality stuff. The store has a great lay out. Pretty sure this is the big sports store out west. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable."
" Visited this store the other day to pick up some swimming gear and found it was smaller than the other Rebel Sports I'd visited. They have the necessary basics, and prices are the same as other branches but I think it could be better. The range for one could be increased and they could also open another till during weekends and other busy periods. "

"I've been a member of WTC for approx 4yrs and this club is awesome to train with. Everyone is very friendly and helpful with training advice. There always coffee and socialising afterward training too! Highly recommended this club if you live out west!"
" I have been involved with the club for a couple of years now and recently the club has gone from strength to strength especially with the events they are running, in the past month or two there has been the club tent and a barbie cooking yummy sausages at the Run Auckland and People's Triathlon races which is a really great way to get to know other club members and their families. On Christmas Eve and Anzac day a BBQ Breakfast with Bacon and Egg or BLT rolls organsie for when we got out of the water following our swim, all this is in addition to the regulart training sessions which as you would expect cover swimming, cycling and running. I can't recommend the club enough!"
Waitakere Mega Centre, 11 Montel Avenue, Henderson, Auckland
"I came in needing a tent but had no idea where to start. Thankfully the staff here are very knowledgeable and helpful when I approached them for help. After getting all my needs analysed, they made a recommendation that I get a certain model. I have been using that tent for two years and it is everything I could ask for. I highly recommend this store, just for the service as it really is above and beyond! Cheers guys."
" This place has a massive selection of fishing gear and apparel. I found some quick drying water shoes - sturdy ones to walk on rocks/coral and also to wear anywhere (almost) US brand, Teva - they are so unbelievably comfortable and i really hope they are good quality for the price of $129!!!!"
" I wandered in here on a whim and I was so impressed! This place is huge with a great range of top quality names and products. Footwear, BBQs, Camping gear, tons of fishing gear and enough marine equipment to shame any half decent chandlery. We're talking top end equipment, not poor quality copies. What a great shop! It will be my first stop from now on :)"
The Parade, Otitori Bay Road, French Bay, Auckland 0604
"I hired out French Bay Yacht Club to hold my wedding reception there. It was the perfect location. Nice and quite with a picturesque view across the water. My guests loved the place and raved about how nice it all was. We hired out the club for the whole day before the wedding too so we could set it up and that cost was very resonable at $150 but is optional. The hirage fees include a cleaner so that is one less thing you have to worry about. The club is located down some windy roads in Titirangi but it is well sign posted. We managed to get our whole wedding party there without anyone getting lost so it can't be too hard to find :) Hiring the club is easily done by first checking the website to check if the day you want is available and if it is you can email to request a booking. All that can be found here http://frenchbay.org.nz/hall-hire/"
" I have been to a Wedding, a 30th and a 21st here. Awesome Venue, with an amazing view and good parking."
