"Such amazing goodies in this cute little ponsonby store. The diamond lights are to die for! Definitely the place to go for quirky pieces. "

"Mixt is an intentionally kitschy gift shop that stocks awesome art/home decoration/general knick knacks, most created by kiwi artists and crafters. There’s loads of rad art prints, wall-mountings (ducks in suits? yes please), jewellery, handcrafted vases and ceramics, greeting cards, lamps, it goes on. I like to get my thank you or birthday cards from Mixt… a screen printed, New Zealand designed card feels a lot more personal than a mass-produced Hallmark. The pricing is reasonable considering that most items there are handcrafted and unique. The retro and art focus really appeals to me, and I often find myself popping in to browse when I was really just planning on walking to the dairy. There’s also a retro furniture shop next door, under the Mixt name, but I try to avoid going in as everything inside is fantastic and I can’t fit any more furniture in my house."
" This quirky and completely unique gift store in Kingsland has the 'it' factor . You will find it really really hard to not walk out with something in a shopping bag "
430 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1021
"Not only this, Andrea (and her team) make any one who steps inside feel more than "just a customer". This has resulted in my feeling as if, even though I do not live in West Lynn, this gift store is my truly "local store". I do not know how Andrea does this, but she also manages to source the most amazing range of affordable products, and her placement of pieces in the shop is a work of art. Worth visiting to get your "fix" of colour, design and form"
"This is where I go to get most of my Christmas presents particularly for the kids. They have a great range of well prices stocking fillers and the gift wrap too! The staff are friendly and helpful and if you need something for the grown up too, you’ll definitely be able to find something. A gorgeous little store filled with beautiful, quirky, and useful things."

"We were driving back to Picton and spotted the sign at the Eco-Show in Nelson. It wasn’t my choice to pop into Stone Arrow but my significant other insisted. I’m actually glad we did because the handmade jewellery was awesome and Nick was super friendly. And in the end I actually didn’t mind pulling out my credit card for a pair of "recycled" earrings made out of glass either plus it made the gf happy!"

"Koko Classics at the top of Williamson Ave in Grey Lynn is one of those places where everything you admire you feel like you’ve seen before - usually in the pages of some serious interior design mags. They offer vintage style furniture and home accessories without the hard work, including beautiful leather couches, steel, industrial-style desks and hides galore.
