"Cant go wrong with Mission Bay. Beautiful views and plenty of great places to eat and drink nearby. I personally prefer to get fish and chips and sit on the beach "
"A popular hang out and destination for roller-blade skaters, cyclists, joggers, walkers and swimmers. Most swim in the sea, but some cool off in the art deco fountain which has been appreciated for over a century. Mission Bay at night, however, is a wonderful spot for a romantic picnic - or fish and chips and gazing at the city lights."

"This is an awesome organisation that rescues and rehomes abandoned cats. If you’re thinking of adding a cat to the family, or are looking for a companion for your current cat, go see Lonely Miaow to adopt an adorable de-wormed, de-flead, de-sexed, vaccinated and microchipped kitty."

"We've been coming to St Heliers for years. It's a bit quieter and less commercial than Mission Bay, though still popular and busy. Great for a walk, we like to walk to the top of the hill to the lookout just past St Heliers Bay. The playground is reasonable, once again it can get crowded on a nice day. Altogether, a lovely piece of Auckland to visit on a sunny day. There are lots of seats and spots to have a picnic, with a few reasonably priced bakeries if you haven't planned for it before you arrived."

" Okahu Bay is a good spot for a picnic in the sun. I probably wouldn't swim there, unless you're really, really keen. There was quite a bit of algae type stuff growing in the sand pretty close to the beach when we were there recently. It didn't look very inspiring! If you're there for a while, the playground across the road is worth a visit with kids. And, there's plenty of space across the road for a sports game or two."
