Is there an Auckland Polar Bear swim?

Does anyone know where, or if, there is an organised swim to celebrate the Winter Solstice?

    Isn't there usually a mid-winter swim at Mission bay? Was August last year I think. But it's just a fun mid-winter swim, no Druids, human sacrifices or anything ;) I didn't know swimming was a part of celebrating the solstice?
