Week three of Auckland Restaurant Month is set to be a winner, so make the most of the closing days of winter and head into town for a chow down.

The first big event of the week is One Night in Central (Auckland that is). Central Otago is the theme of the evening, which will be held at Botswana Butchery on Tuesday, August 21. The dinner will be a celebration of the area’s food and wine, with winemakers from Peregrine and Gibbston Valley on hand to make recommendations for wine matches. The meal will be $85 (wine is not included).

Chart the Course is back for its third (and final) week. This week’s “progressive dinner” will start at Kermadec Bar and Bistro (they will be putting on starters), followed by The Foodstore for dinner and then Soul Bar for dessert. Tickets are $95 for the three courses, including a wine for each course. This will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Another waterfront location throws opens its doors for Auckland Restaurant Month. North Wharf Passport will take place at North Wharf (naturally) over the weekend August 24-26. North Wharf’s ten eateries and bars will offer diners the opportunity to taste a signature dish from their menu; and you can linger as long as your want – the passport is valid for the entire weekend. Grab a group of mates and make a day of it – fingers’ crossed for some great weather!
