In a city with so many eating options, it can be hard deciding on where to eat. You may be craving Japanese, but your buddies are after a pizza; maybe you’re keen on some tasty tapas, but you’re hubby might be after something else...what to do?
Elliot Stables is the perfect spot for those who have different tastes. Housed in what used to be a warehouse for Archibald Clark and Sons (a manufacturing firm) in 1910, the grand brick expanse has been transformed into an epicurean village, with enough options to keep even the most fickle diner happy.
Some of Elliot Stable’s best restaurants are taking part in Auckland Restaurant Month this year. Besos Latinos Restaurante is one of them – a Latin American eatery that’s very popular with Localists. Serving food from all around Latin America (Chile, Portugal, Peru, Mexico), it also has live Latin music, great drinks, and a very authentic atmosphere. Over Auckland Restaurant Month, Besos Latinos Restaurante will be offering a $35 “Culinary Tour of South America”, which will feature a set menu entree and main, and a glass of wine.
Another eatery that’s popular with you lovely readers is Bruschetteria and Aperitivo Bar. Featuring a range of bruschetta and crostini, it also serves antipasto and a range of Italian drinks. It’s a lovely place to eat in, with a distinctive Italian atmosphere, and it’s also an excellent option for vegetarians (they have a wide range of vege dishes). They are offering a $45 Taste of Italy throughout Auckland Restaurant Month. This includes two glasses of Italian wine, and a large antipasto platter.
Torchon Creperie is another excellent option. A French bistro that offers a range of galettes (buckwheat pancakes) and crepes, it’s ideal for the Francophiles among you! They are offering a two course set menu for $19.95 (either a main and entree or main and dessert), which is pretty great value if you ask me!
