I've been back twice since and absolutely love the Vindaloo. The naan is very fresh and tasty. For $20 you can get a curry with naan and rice plus a beer. This is definitely going on my regular places to dine out list'.

Chapati Indian Restaurant, Henderson

I would prefer linen napkins but not many places do these now days. The menu was good with all the usuals plus a few unique, very tasty looking dishes I'd like to try another time. The wine list was basic but enough to cover most tastes. We will definitely go back'.
Curry Leaf Indian Restaurant & Takeaways, Pukekohe

The staff are real nice and friendly Decor is not fantastic but quality of the food is great! Chand Indian Restaurant, Rothesay Bay Restaurant
@andyschmidt says, 'This is our local and is alway good standard fare at good prices, whether eating in or takeaway. Without sounding too boring, the butter chicken is awesome! Also vegetable dopiaza. Make sure you clarify if its the Rothesay bay or Torbay one that you booked or ordered from, otherwise it can get pretty confusing when you turn up!'.
Curry Sutra, Beach Haven

Tasty food, an extremely charming front-of-house man, and curry cooked in an open kitchen to order. the only down side is that there is no dine-in. Otherwise, a great find!'.

Described by @wrongdecade as 'The best Indian food in Howick', this East Auckland local raves, 'The food is incredible and the service is great. It's a little more expensive that some places (eg, no combos of main with rice + naan + drink), but all mains come with beautiful rice and are a very decent size. The naan was great and well worth the extra $. Definitely going back'.
Raviz Indian Cuisine - Botany Junction

My friends and I love the Indian Express on Dominion Road, but not sure that they qualify as a restaurant, although you can eat it, most take away. Great food and service.
