99 Parrs Cross road, Henderson, Auckland
"This place is a bit out of the way, and not super easy to find, but is SO worth the effort. There’s just an incredible assortment of weird and wonderful. Huge ridiculous statues, lamps, furniture, costumes, random housewares, random bric-a-brac… there’s really not much this place DOESN’T have."
240 Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland
"I love stepping through the doorway of Antique Alley, already there is treasure mounting up around your ears straight away. It’s one of those shops that you need to stand in one spot and look for 5 minutes before you shuffle along a few steps and repeat. Taxidermy, German pottery, bone handled silverware, poker work folk art, English china, costume and fine jewellery, watches, militaria - it’s all here under one roof."
"Sifting through the bric a brac in this delightful store, really satisfies my hunter gather instincts. So many great finds!"
"As one of the only people I know who enjoys the show ‘Antiques Roadshow’, it’s no surprise that Antique Alley is a favourite shop of mine. Just walking through the shop is an experience - there’s so much cool stuff packed into one small space! Jewellery, costume jewellery, sterling silver, kiwiana, old furniture, chinaware, postcards…. an antique lover’s treasure trove!"

" Such an interesting selection of lovely little things! Antlers were everywhere and that made my day. Plus the shop lady I met was fantastic, fun and helpful."

" Lets Go Retro has a lovely feel about it - lots of hidden treasures but organised enough that you don't feel overwhelmed, with super helpful staff. Nice mix of handmade jewellery and fabrics along with the typical vintage store fare. The handmade Christmas stockings made out of upcycled woolen blankets are a favourite each year. "
156 Garnet Road, Westmere, Auckland 1022
"Interesting and quirky finds in Westmere, largely of a china variety. A great place to poke around for an offbeat gift."
"A rather prim little shop, specialising in vintage teacups and ceramics but there is also quite a good variety of random bric-a-brac. It’s not open very often, but it’s definitely worth a trip."
" Babushka is a little like stepping into your grandmother's china cabinet. There's a enchanting array of china tea cups and tea sets. A lovely range of antique china, it's a delight to enter the shop but of course leave your bull at home. This little travel back in time corner shop offers you a lovely distraction. So much nicer shopping in a real antique store instead of trawling the internet and dealing with disappointment when the package is delivered. Pop in, well worth the trip down memory lane. "

"The owner is French and goes on regular buying trips back to France. Not cheap but some cool items"
" I love anything French and antiques especially. My father was a antique dealer (as a hobby) and I learned a lot from him. I inherited some lovely pieces. This shop is worth a trip to Grey Lynn to see if you like me love french antiquities. Its full of gorgoeus old pieces of furniture and some unique bits & bobs. I wish I could afford all of them but alas ......"

"Oh my god this shop is incredible. It is literally piled high with antique goodies and you almost have to make your way sideways through the shop at some points. There is more english silver cutlery than you can shake a stick at, cabinets and shelves heaving with china, glassware and curios. They have an impressive selection of virtually everything but I particularly love the old fishing bouys and the odds and sods in the back room including some curious looking chinese dogs and a solitary mannequin hand."
"This part of Manukau Rd had dozens of these shops but sadly Trademe has killed a lot of them off. This one has so much to wade through it's a delightful way to spend a couple of hours"
"We like to browse through an Antique shop every few weekends and it’s nice to have a store like Antiques of Epsom just around the corner. They have an eclectic range of items in store and are happy to have a chat with you about any item that catches your fancy. Open 7 days they’re always on hand when you feel like taking a look through some history."
24 Victoria Road, Devonport, Auckland 0624
"Remembering is what makes things matter. A collection of beautiful stories and memories hidden inside special little objects."
"The Best Vinatge CLothing Store in New Zealand! This is not a second hand store. There are beautiful museum quality pieces housed in this stunning shop. New Zealand and Australian vintage pieces are often much more generous in size than that which you would find in similar stores in London and Paris. You can find clothing in size 12 and 14 at Viva La Vintage."

"Aunty Mavis is a must visit for those looking for Crown Lynn, NZ kitsch and kitchenalia. The shop will remind you of your grandmothers house, in the best way."
62A Ponsonby Road, Ponsonby, Auckland 1024
"This small but charming shop always has a wonderful window display that entices in the passerby. Inside lies wonderful lamps and light fittings, lots of costume jewellery, clothing and handbags and an eclectic array of ornaments and crockery."
717 Mt Albert Road, Royal Oak, Auckland 1023
"Love this place! Has heaps of great & reasonably priced furniture and great knick knacks. Parking around the back and easy central location. Don’t be afraid to bargain with them to get a great deal."
" We were looking for an off-size dining-room table and had visited many, many modern and antique furniture stores before arriving -- exhausted -- at Royal Oak Traders. The proprietor was on the verge of closing for the day, but we slipped in and had a quick look around. We immediately found multiple desirable dining-table options. I wish I could remember the proprietor's name. He was helpful and impressively knowledgeable about the provenance of the furniture we were considering. His prices were very reasonable compared to the other antiques and modern items we'd been looking at. It was overall a very pleasant experience and we'll return to Royal Oak when we need an interesting or odd piece of furniture from the past. Highly recommended."
474 Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland 1023
"If a jaw dropping light fitting is what you are after then look no further, Yvonne Sanders Antiques has an impressive selection from Tiffany style to massive crystal laden chandeliers. There is also french antique furniture, ceramics and crockery, woven rugs and cushion covers and a beautiful life size plaster statue of Jesus - if you're into that sort of thing - which I am."
" This shop is old like the lovely pieces of furniture, chandeliers and bric `a brac it contains within. Well worth a browse on a Sunday after brunch in the area. There is a large amount of unusual items like tiles, iron grilles and gorgeous French furniture, garden ornaments ( some of the bigger items are at their Architectural Antiques shop in Three Kings). To turn your house and garden into something worthy of the French aristrocracy, then this is the place to go."
" Yvonne Sanders is one of the larger Antique shops in Epsom. They have a spacious store packed with intriguing historical and reltively modern artifacts. There's plenty of parking near the store just off Manukau Road, or park down one of the side streets between The Drive and Manukau for a relaxed stroll up to the shop. Yvonne Sander specialise in larger items than most other Antique or homeware stores. Such as Chandeliers, Tiles both new and old, French Doors and even large wrought iron gates! It's well worth stopping in for a browse on a lazy weekend day to get some inspiration or to find something totally unique to round out your house."
